Shel’tter Shibuya Grand Opening – Beautiful People, Stylish Fashion, Good Food & Fun Party Pictures

To say that Shibuya’s most beautiful and stylish gals came out for last week’s Shel’tter Shibuya grand opening would be a bit of an understatement. The invite-only bash to launch Baroque Japan’s newest flagship store was an A-list affair. The guest list packed with Japanese models, celebrities, and a who’s who of Tokyo’s fashion industry. DJ Mondo – himself dressed to kill in a feather headpiece & pasties – kept the music pounding while the stylish crowd took the shop’s motto – “Making Shibuya Cheerful” – very seriously, eating, drinking, and partying late into the night.
The new Shel’tter Shibuya store takes up three stories – and over three hundred square meters – in the Koen Dori building previously occupied by figure and character goods store Blister. The orange tiles on the outside of the building have been removed and replaced with bright white and lit panels. The first three floors of the sparkling-like-new building now house Baroque Japan’s largest domestic flagship shop. Shibuya shoppers can load up on Baroque’s extremely popular family of fashion brands – including Moussy, Rienda, Rodeo Crowns, Sly, and Miel Crishunant. Each floor caters to a specific fashion theme. The first floor is new products, the second floor is for Moussy and “Casual American” style, and the third floor is dedicated to “girly taste” clothing.
In addition to the company’s standard clothing lines, party attendees could also view the line of celebrity-designed t-shirts, created as part of Baroque Limited’s “All For Japan” charity project. Thelma Aoyama, Ai Tominaga, Melody Yoko, Anna Tsuchiya, Angela Baby, Hitomi Nishina, and Melody Yoko each created shirts, with all profits going to the Japanese Red Cross Society and earthquake relief.
We felt very lucky to be invited to the opening of the new Shel’tter store, and of course we brought back plenty of pictures to share with you.
