Nicole Richie's Pretty Floral Winter Kate Look

Nicole Richie was out at Neiman Marcus on April 28 to showcase her Winter Kate collection and did just that wearing a dress from the collection and a ring from her House of Harlow 1960 line.

Nicole's Winter Kate Floral Print Passenger dress is on-line at Cusp costing $285.

She completed the look with some Christian Louboutin wedges.

Kate's Beautiful Royal Wedding Style - Dress & Jewel Info

It feels a bit pointless posting on this when every site in the world seems to and you'll no doubt have seen it everywhere but when you're a style website, you can't not post on the most seen dress of the century.

Kate Middleton, or Catherine, or even the Duchess of Cambridge, to give her her new official title, looked beautiful in her white, lace-sleeved dress from Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton.

Her veil was very simple and worn with a 1936 Cartier tiara which belongs to Queen Elizabeth.

Her dress was free of glitz or embellishments; her custom-made Robinson Pelham adding the only other bit of glitter until the addition of her Wartski wedding band.

With the style of the dress it definetly looks like Kate looked to Grace Kelly for inspiration - the upper half of the dress being rather alike, with Kate's neckline being open rather than closed like Grace's.  A similarity lay in the bouquets also.

Blake Lively's Time Gala Look

Showing off her new Jessica Rabbit hair-do, Blake Lively also showed off her curves in a stunning blue Zuhair Murad Haute Couture design at the Time 100 Gala in New York a few nights ago.

Blake topped off the gorgeous look with blue Kimberly McDonald jewels and unseen Christian Louboutin heels.

As HC it's hard to give a style steal for Blake's gown but for a similar big blue ring, you might like the Carolee $21 Key Largo ring from dillards.com.

Want

while the rumors of short-sleeve weather seem to be highly exaggerated, I still dream of clothes that bare one's arms and the accessories and jewelry that go with them. This Padma cuff bracelet is decorated with 18-karat yellow gold beads, and while the cuff itself is very sexy and sleek, I like that the rest of the hardware is a little more gritty looking.

Les Nereides- Au soleil de Provence Necklace

Want.

French fashion jewelry maker Les Nereides just came out with several pieces named Au soleil de Provence. It might not be exactly along the lines of Dame Elizabeth's estate, but just looking at the fleurs de citronier made my day better (it's been snowing here all day and more is coming tomorrow). They also have matching earrings that unfortunately are only for pierced ears, otherwise I'd have scooped them up right away (or rather the online shopping equivalent of scooping).

Au soleil de Provence Necklace (120.00 €) by Les Nereides jewelry is available from olivolga.com

Bijoux Hibou -Jewelry that lets the sun shine in

Apologies for the late start today. I'm still trying to recover from the flu and it isn't happening as fast as I'd like. But I promise some pretties are coming up and I'll do my best to catch up on photos and swatches (email is another thing, though. You know I'm permanently behind). I was searching for something else when I stumbled upon Bijoux Hibou, an Etsy jewelry store by artists Wandie Ortiz. Her one-of-a-kind painted polymer clay necklaces caught my eye with their warm colors and sunshiny designs. The finished work looks like glazed ceramic, but is actually created by applying alcohol inks and dyes and painting directly onto polymer clay with a brush. Liquid clay is added to seal the color and heat as many times as needed to get the desired look.

The ones you see here (both photos by the artist), the Golden Sun and the Butterfly necklaces are currently available for the princely sum of $15 each. Just search for Bijoux Hibou on Etsy.

Collage- A Community Art Gallery In Warwick, NY

I bought this ring at Collage, a newish (opened last October) gallery in Warwick, NY. Warwick is a cute little town in Southern NY where you can find beautiful Victorian houses, a decent farmers' market, antique shops and art galleries. Oh, and also Jean-Claude's Patisserie, which is as French as it comes (25 Elm Street, behind the Burger King, ironically). The patisserie alone is worth the trip, but now that I also found Collage, it becomes a regular stop for me.

The gallery was opened by a local businesswoman, a real estate agent, who decided to make her office into something more. Collage is a non-profit place that represents local artists from the Tri-State area (and also Pennsylvania, if I'm not mistaken). The mission statement says "The Gallery strives to present dynamic exhibits that engage, confound, delight and entice viewers". The collection includes jewelery, paintings, photographs, ceramics and more. Quite a few items caught my eye and I love the unceremonious and laid back atmosphere of the place that doesn't take away from the beauty of the items on display.

Collage Gallery doesn't have a website at this point but can be reached by phone (845-986-9000) or email (collage@warwick.net).  The address is 24 Railroad Avenue, Warwick, NY. Obviously I'm not affiliated with the place in any form other as a customer.

All photos, hand and kitten are mine. Here's another one of Josephine who assisted me as I was taking pictures of the ring.
