Weekly Roundup- March 4th

It's been a weird week. Between the insanity of the Charlie Sheen updates and the vomit-inducing John Galliano, we could use all the beauty and fun that came our way. Thankfully, our bloggers found more than enough shiny things about which we could get excited. Here's some of them:

Kari at Fab Over Forty dedicated part of her Academy Awards coverage to celebs over 40. Have you noticed that they were the more interesting ones to watch? (with apologies to Mila Kunis)

Any Chanel launch is a big event in our little world and foundation even more so, as many of us have at least one holy grail item from the line. Mine is the classic Vitalumier. Charlestongirl at Best Things in Beauty shares her thoughts on the much anticipated new Chanel foundation Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup.

More Chanel foundation: Amy from Café Makeup has been busy swatching the Vitalumiere Aqua. Is there one that will work for your skin tone? Should I switch from the classic Vitalumiere?

Jane from Daly Beauty may have found her ideal mascara for perfect lashes. I'm intrigued.

What happens when one of us mortals gets to walk the red carpet? How do you prepare? Kelly from Gouldylox Reviews shares how she got ready for the Independent Spirit Awards.

Debbi from DivaDebbi is also a Red Carpet fan. She gives us her dish on the good, the bad and the utterly inexplicable.

Anne from BeautyXposé was asked to be an Aveeno Ambassador. She shares the incredible experience she had with Aveeno and Exhale Spa in LA.

While I'm still working on figuring out the original NARS Illuminator in Orgasm, Sabrina from The Beauty Look Book swatches and shares her thoughts on the new shades that just came out.

Carla from Product Girl has been relying on Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide On Shadow Pencils to simplify her morning routine. I just bought the green one in Clinic, so my review is coming soon. In the meantime check out Carla's swatches and tips.

Michael reviewed a true modern classic, Terre d'Hermes, on From Top To Bottom. I'm glad for the affirmation that a woman can wear it easily. I most certainly do.

On Manolo For The Beauty, Glinda has an interesting discussion about the necessity of hairbrushes. I own three but use none (unless I'm blow-drying and flat-ironing my hair, which happens once in a very blue moon.

The best quote of the week comes from Pink, who tweeted:
"Out of Myself, Britney and Christina – didn't everyone think I was gonna be the troublemaker? LOOK MA!!! NO CUFFS!"

Wishing you a happy and beautiful March!
