Today's world consist of working moms and when your working a 9-5 it may be harder to get dinner on the table at a decent hour. Below are some tips on how you can accomplish getting dinner on the table when pressed for time.
Tip 1: When buying your meats and poultry clean, season and place in zip lock bags before freezing.
Tip 2: Precook and freeze meals over the weekend. This will save you so much time as all you will have to do in the morning is take food out of the freezer before going off to work to allow it to thaw out. When you come home you can just heat up the food in the oven and dinner will be ready in no time.
Tip 3: If you have a meal that you prefer not to precook over the weekend, then season and prepare the night before. This will cut your cooking time in half as everything is already prepared.
Tip 4: Let the kids and your significant other get involved. Allow each person to pick a day that they can be in charge of the menu.
Tip 5: If for some reason dinner is delayed and the kids are hungry give them a small bowl of fruit or vegetables to tie them over until dinner time.
