I came across this gentleman (no little boy, he doesn't deserve the word gentleman) who annoyed the hell out of me because he couldn't hold a conversation about females without incorporating the word bitch into it. I am not even talking about calling the woman a bitch because she did something stupid or because he dislikes her, (not saying that makes it any better but sometimes people can take you to that level) he uses the word as if he is referencing the woman by her name. The more I spoke to him I asked why must you use the word bitch to reference every woman you know and he simply said because I am an ignorant person. Well no shit sherlock, I figured that out when you first opened your mouth. He then sits back and wonders why women don't want to be around him. After trying to talk to this "special" individual I went home and thought to myself, "What are some other ways that I have heard people reference the word bitch in more of a friendlier term per say and not to downgrade a woman?" I thought about conversations I have had with friends, colleagues, women, men etc. and below are some ways that people may use the B word.
- Some women may say, "I am that Bitch."- This basically means I am powerful, independent and can stand on my own two feet.
- Some may say when people call them a bitch they take it as a compliement because to them it means- Beautiful, Intelligent, Talented, Courageous, Honorable.
- Some friends may reference another friend my saying, "That's My Bitch." -Which in turn means she is my best friend, always there for me through thick and thin.
- A husband or boyfriend may say, "My Wife is that Bitch."- Meaning that know one comes close to her perfection in his eyes.
Above are some of the ways that people have turned the B word into a positive. My question to you ladies is does it change your prospective of the word depending on who is saying it and how they say it or is it just a completely negative word in your book? Is it different when a woman says it vs. a male?
