This is an old one but timeless. I once met a hippie chick out west who said she spent the last year of her life chilling in the old growth forests of Vancouver Island feeling the vibrations of her mentors. She was a Reiki healer and could channel and manipulate energy to restore balance in a human being's mind body & spirit. She was the most flaked out empty shell of a human I have ever met. It became very obvious that a shaman guy had convinced her of a whole new bogus reality comprised of drum circles and vaguely explained spirit energies. I then realized how Charles Manson got his family together. Damn hippies.
