A miscarriage can be very devastating for a couple especially if it was the first child or if they have had difficulty conceiving. After the grieving period has passed many couples may want to know when it is safe again for them to try and conceive. Although it is definitely possible to get pregnant again there are necessary steps you will have to take.
Practitioners advise women to wait for 2 to 3 menstrual cycles to pass before trying to conceive again. This time frame will give your body time to heal physically to sustain another pregnancy as well as healing emotionally. Practitioners also advise you check with your main practitioner for advice on when exactly to try and get pregnant as all cases are not the same. For instance, someone who miscarried at the very beginning of their pregnancy may have a different frame time to conceive versus someone who miscarried towards the end of their pregnancy.
This can be a very tough process to get through and the best advise would be to take your time trying to conceive again as your body has endured something very heartbreaking that your mind will never forget. Time and knowledge will help you to take the necessary steps if you decide to try and conceive again.
Stay Fab!
