I know this is not my regular news day but I would like to acknowledge the loss of Teena Marie. I was shocked and saddened when I woke up this morning and heard that 54 year old R&B great had past.
Teena Marie was found unconscious in her bed yesterday by her 18 year old daughter Alia Rose. Alia was unable to wake her and it was discovered that Teena had died in her sleep. The cause of death has not been determined but it has been said that Teena suffered from seizures.
Teena was one of the greats in the R&B world and she will be greatly missed. God bless her family and may she Rest In Peace.
